Rhumba

Gentleness is a fertilizer, a
Rhumba,

Swaying wheat,
Balanced corn,

In a field,
Caressed by rain, it is

Kindness
To yourself,

Ploughing, when the harrow is ready,
And sweating,

Gentleness,

Glistening off chests, is
The masculine scent of forgiveness,

The feminine of,
Breaking ground,

Gentleman or Boer, order

In the house,
Order!

Give in.

Frogs this side of the Universe

short poetry, aliens, evolution, environment, extinction,

Evidently frogs lie in wait,

And the moon sets on stranger ground,
Than we will ever imagine,

Landscapes of endless twilight and,
Shifting sand,

Shadows that congeal into shapeless forms,
Gliding over dank walls,

Flowing into dimly lit caverns,
Filled with hunched figures,

Hundreds of them,
Four limbed slugs captured eons ago,

Growing wings and emerging from sacs,

Peering into neon and,
Farting occasionally,

Stubby limbs chained to,
Grimey floors,

Tubes running into foreheads,
Ruffling DNA,

Every so often we run into humans,
Who do not understand,

That they are only Earthlings,
This side of the Universe,

Night flies on computer screens,
Attracted to the light completely.

Demon

short poetry, God, felony, criminals, death, purgatory

You would walk into a quiet house,
In a quiet neighbourhood and,
Take a young girl,

Into the woods,
And rape her,
Leaving a father disfigured,

You would,
Take a husband,
In the middle of the night,

And break his legs,
And electrocute him,
Because he will not salute your
Blown up image,

You would,
Empty bank accounts,
Nurtured for years,

By elderly couples who,
Just want rest,
And something leftover for grandchildren,

You would dismantle life this way,
And bear no burden?

I tell you,

There were angels in the courtroom,
And in the playground,
And on the plane,

But I was not one of them.

I will find you and,
Eat you up.

Lawyer

I am your witness in sharp shoes,
Distracted by red women,

Your special witness,
Your lawyer,

Advertised as free in this tough, brutal world.

I handle accidents, divorce court, disability the works and,
Sharp words will be necessary, believe me, so

Call.
Call me now.

On the number flashing at the bottom of your screen.
